The trick is to use as much as possible the turret rotation and fast reload. You should do the same with Tirpitz, but it is much more forgiving in that regard. Agressive smoke is quite fun to use.
Scharn is a bit more tricky, but I really enjoy playing it. share. Dunkerque is also very capable, and sits right in the MM sweet spot.

Scharnhorst near the 50 range looks good for me. Scharnhorst is just a heavily armored cruisers than cant really do anything then kamikaze into the enemy and deal some damage.
Your armor makes you much more capable of rushing "real" battleships than cruisers can. Its in the game in the hands of super testers only, They are doing some more tests for "balance". An issue with doing it via PT, though, is that everyone may rush to just play Premiums. the Indianapolis costed $45.07 AUD including port slot so I am afraid that the Scharnhorst could be over $50 I wish it is below $50 Some ships such as, but not limited to, Friesland, Nelson, Alaska, or Azuma, are sold for 0 credits and therefore cannot be restored through the VRT. It's fast, can troll DDs, and put a good fight against basically anything. I need to waste some money for the game tho.
If you can work around her quirks, a ton of fun is guaranteed. If not, then she can be quite frustrating.
I wouldn’t quit the game, but I would not buy anymore premium ships moving forward.

I'm was so impressed by the Scharnhorst in that battle cause the Scharnhorst in my team destroyed 4 enemy ships and he was on top of the battle statistics.
They could disable personal stats for the ship at the same time, to reduce risk of abuse.
In terms of money and xp, it's very close on average to that what Tirpitz earns and way above your typical T6 premium. A "try-before-you-buy" scheme would be useful to a lot of people (maybe even the OP in this case). So yes 11 inch are still battleship sized guns just not normally used anymore.
Disgusting. Today I first time researched Gneisenau and even stock I enjoy it but I admit it is hard to play and you are a big target even if dd gun focuses you you are dead in flames.

Terrible pricing model. the price of premium ship based on types goes like this, If you are waiting patiently for this ship = price wont matter.

For a nominal fee you could get to try out a premium ship for a whole day. Judging from the Gneisenau it is a pretty hard ship to play especially vs cruisers. 61% Upvoted. As I'm a paypal warrior I own Dunkerque (since today), Scharn, Blyska (it was soooo cheap the other day I couldn't resist), Atago, Kutuzov and Tirpitz. Just put aside three goats and a virtiuous girl or two.

Scharnhorst is awesome, but it requires a brawling playstyle. Scharnhorst by a mile if you ask me, then Dunkerque, and then Tirpitz. Scharn has fast reload guns which can slay cruisers which are the most annoying enemies for BB. Even with Kidd you get the special camouflage. By Had one good day where my average was >90k over 5 games so it's possible to perform really well.
It seems worse than both Tirpitz and scharnhorst. Dunkerque can easily carry an entire match. Armor isn't as good (imo), the alpha strike potential up close isn't as good and (most importantly) the guns are different. It's nerfed.

Scharnhorst will spare you that pain. WG has yet to learn that they could sell more ships at $20-$30 then they could at $40-$60. Love the scharnhorst, shes great fun to play, a genuine battlecruiser style, fast guns, good pen, adequate armour if your careful, nice torps, fast, whats not to like ?

While quite capable there , TX gameplay is such a yawnfest. If you want a money maker i would recommend kutuzov over tirpitz but i see you already have it. Of course, If you need a T8 because of prestige and you care less about meta issues, Tirpitz will do just fine.

The main drawback for me is that it is not so immediately useful in training captains, whereas the German ships are. 19k would have to be a bundle only.

maybe wg are having hard time balancing it. Dunkerque looks interesting and it is also pretty cheap ! AA isn't good, but you can always boost it to reasonable levels if you wants to. Premium ships are definitely overpriced.
You will rape poor tier V every second battle so yeah.. Tirpitz is like you concluded, the more solid and dependable ship.

Tirpitz allows to play truly like a brawler, but the gun are good enough when there are some range involved, so it's never completely useless. All three of them prints credits. probably around $41.43 price range. You need to play a total of 10 battles to post in this section.

A rather peculiar capital ship, Scharnhorst in World of Warships is officially a battleship, but frequently plays more like a battlecruiser. Don’t know why a DD is more then a Cruiser but that’s not the point.
Tirpitz shouldn't snipe, but it's much better at it than Scharnhorst. after all, they don't want to release an OP german ship.

Scharnhorst is yummy treat, baked, fried, grilled tasty snack. All three of them are interesting and all three of them are somewhat unique.
Pretty much in line with the other tier 7 BB (if you really want to compare her to them since she takes up that slot). OTOH, she is by far the cheapest of the bunch. The guns on the Scharn were designed for her. Scharnhorst will spare you that pain.

Only other ships to really use them were the Deutschland Class cruisers (Armored Cruisers) and the Scharnhorst and Gneisenau battleships. I guess a really good player can average 85-100k damage...but that's speculation.

Low end I would say 14k if we are lucky, high end 19-20k, 14k would be nice. Her characteristics are very cruiser-like: top speed above 30 knots with a decent rudder shift time, plus a smaller-caliber main battery than other battleships that trades alpha damage and penetration for good rate of fire and muzzle velocity.

The guns are smallish and have bad penetration and sometimes you will have to use HE on angled battleships.
