Best part was being able to use it all night without having to worry about using up batteries, as charged up easily the following day. My Samsung phone was able to change without any problems. They earn a Top Pick Award for best-performing string light and we think that they will serve the car campers among us very well. You really don’t need to get it all that full to make sure it still has its buoyant properties.

No more batteries in general. As it happens, I use this thing in my house on a daily basis. I bought these in preparation for the hurricanes hitting NC in Aug/Sept 2018, I liked that they were inflatable, & fairly water-proof. 40 lumens may sound puny, but diffused through a 5 inch diameter, it’s pretty substantial!
I will say that the seal is not ideal, and that air will deflate somewhat before you can get the cap placed back on, but this is not a big issue. The only possible issues I can foresee that might lead to its demise are extreme heat, say by it being placed way too close to a camp fire, or some serious tearing/abrasion on your part.
They bring great portability to eating or meeting areas that don't have wired electricity. Think about how much money you spend on batteries for your various flashlights and lanterns; now multiply that number by years of use.
