The space is great, it packs down into a pretty nice backpack style bag that will fit the footprint and the garage if you choose to get them and having the second entrance on the back/bedroom end is great for putting the kids to bed then sneaking back out to the fire for some grown up time. Dang.. we’re going to go look at it tomorrow. I have a Kingdom 4. ft. of vestibule space; floor dimensions: 103 in. The Base Camp is better suited for windy conditions, though the overall height and divider of the Kingdom are pretty cool. I understand that kingdom 8 has more room with the extra space compared to kingdom 6. But as you point out, using guy lines is key, and I've a feeling most skip that part in their setup. We camp in an area with lots of trees so wind is not usually an issue. We did not really need the room of the 6 but wanted the much larger mesh area that the 6 had over the 4.
